Due to the current situation regarding the Covid-19 (Corona) virus, many businesses have been affected, including those that are utilizing the Shopify free trial. To help merchants adapt to the new realities of running a business, Shopify has announced that they are offering a 90-day free trial to all new Shopify merchants.

To take advantage of the extended 90-day trial, you must first sign up for a Shopify account and select the Basic Shopify plan. After signing up, you’ll have 30 days to explore Shopify, including the ability to use any of the existing integrations, third-party apps, and custom themes. After the initial 30 days are up, Shopify will automatically roll over the remaining days of the trial for another 60 days to give you a total of 90 days to explore the platform. This trial period applies to existing Shopify merchants as well, as long as they select the Basic Shopify plan.

At the end of this 90-day period, merchants are free to continue using the Basic Shopify plan or upgrade to one of the more advanced plans. However, if merchants would like to remain on the Basic plan beyond the 90-day trial period, they will need to enter into a paid subscription plan.
