How to Create a Store and add a Domain in Shopify 2022

  1. Create your Shopify store. Go to shopify.com and click the “Start free trial” button. You’ll need to create a Shopify account, enter some details about your store and choose a plan.

  2. Connect your domain. Once you have your store set up, you need to connect your domain. Go to your admin page and click the “Domains” tab. Select the option to buy a new domain, type in the domain you want and shopify will search for availability.

  3. Configure your settings. Go to the “Settings” page and make sure you have the right settings for tax, shipping, checkout, payments and more. You can also customize your store with themes, fonts and colors.

  4. Add products. You can add both physical and digital products to your store by clicking the “Add product” button. Fill in the title, description, images, pricing, and other details.

  5. Set up your payment methods. You need to set up at least one payment method in order to accept payment from customers. Go to the Payments page in your admin and choose the method you want.

  6. Publish your store. When you’re ready to launch your store, click the “Publish” button in the “Theme” page of your admin. After that, you’re ready to start selling!
