Brainstorm ideas: Spend time thinking up ideas for your book title, considering related topics, topics you are passionate about, or anything that strikes your fancy.
Research key words: Take the ideas you have come up with and research words which this could potentially be used in a title. If you can come up with three to four keywords, then it’s time to move on to the next step.
Put them together: Put the words together in various combinations and see what you come up with. Are there any catchy plays on words you can use? Are there any surprises or unique perspectives you can bring to your title?
Make it memorable and unique: Make sure your title stands out from the rest of the books in your genre. Be sure to pick something that will stick in people’s minds and pique their interest.
Test it: Ask your friends and family for their opinion on your title. What are their first impressions? Would they want to pick it up?
Final touches: Once you have chosen your title, spend a bit of time making sure it is grammatically correct and is easy to pronounce.
Publish or discuss it with a publisher: If your book is self published, go ahead and print out your book title. If this is a book you’re pitching to a traditional publisher, make sure you make the title a part of your pitch.
