Hey everyone, in this episode of our Shopify challenge we’re going to be setting up our store. For this episode we’ll be covering the basic setup of our store, from creating a domain, to setting up our payment gateway.

First up, we’re going to need a domain. When it comes to domains, there are many different domains available like .com, .net, .biz and more. But for our Shopify challenge, we’re going to be going with the .store domain as our main domain. Setting up the domain name is pretty straightforward and simple. All you have to do is find the perfect domain for your store and then go ahead and purchase it.

Next up, is setting up your store. Shopify offers a few different pricing plans, the basic plan starting at /month. After selecting the plan you want, you will then be asked to setup the basic information about your store, such as the name, address, and payment information. After filling in all the required information, you will be able to create your store.

Once you have your store created, the next step is to configure your payment gateway. For this part, Shopify provides you with several different options, such as Stripe, PayPal, and even Apple Pay. Once you’ve chosen the payment gateway that you want to use, you will need to fill in the necessary information to connect it to your store.

Finally, you can start populating your store with products and start to take orders. At this stage, it might be a good idea to also consider setting up some customer service options, like a contact us page, or a customer support email.
